hi friends and foes! a little while ago, someone asked me to do a GIF MANIP TUTORIAL. i’ve never done a tutorial before so bear with me as i try to explain, in the most simplest of terms, how i made this gif:
* I use Photoshop cc 2018 *i use it on a PC, that has Windows 10 *if you see any syntax or grammar issues, let me know. english isn’t my first language.
I’m going to show you how to: + blending the same gif together only with horizontal difference +blending different gifs together
First of, this is a tutorial for someone who already knows how to make a basic gif (using smart filters etc).
hello! as most people know, i gif gotham quite a bit and it’s really dark and hard to color when giffing, so i figured i’d put together a little tutorial on how to color it without making it look,, well,, bad.
i think it’s really important to state that with any dark show there’s no perfect way to color these scenes and sometimes it doesn’t look as great as you’d like, but i’ll go over how i do my best to make it look as good as possible when dealing w difficult scenes
i Do Not use the same psd or base psd on every scene bc gotham is funky and every scene is super different in lighting. some scenes are easier to color than others
i have two main tips and tricks that will hopefully make things easier for you!
Here’s how to brighten up / fix dark scenes using a nifty curves trick! I use this technique almost every time I gif something and it helps to both brighten the scene AND get rid of any weird color filters in movies/shows (like the dark, yellowy look that’s sometimes seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi like in the gif above).
Ok, so here’s a simple/basic tutorial on giffing dark scenes, nothing fancy. For this, Levels, Brightness, Exposure layers will be your best friend (all before coloring your gif). This may not work every time, since every scene is different, and not all steps have to be used, but just using the basics should help I hope. Let’s get started.
Blending gifs is a lot of fun, and makes gifs look super pretty if done right. So, as requested, here’s a gif tutorial on how to make them ~ (Heads Up: This is a long post)
So, here’s a new tutorial on how to go from a really yellow/green (or one specific color) to making it look more natural. This isn’t perfect by any means and not all steps have to be used; only what you like, but hopefully this might be somewhat helpful. This tutorial will use Photo Filters, Color Balance and Selective Color to achieve changing the dominant color. So, by doing this you can go from:
Hey all, this is a simple tutorial on how to make a still manip from two separate images using Photoshop CC (although should work on most versions of PS) If you use this tutorial, please feel free to tag me in any edits you post !!!
I’ll be working with a Cole Sprouse scene from CW Riverdale and a Halston Sage scene from the movie Before I Fall to make the below manip:
Hey guys, this has been requested a whole bunch of times so today I am gonna try to show you how to make the manip gifs that I use in most of my edits !!!
i’ve been receiving a few messages asking if i had any tips and tricks for making hd/crisp looking gifs, so i thought i’d do a mini tutorial of sorts.
this isn’t a tutorial on the process of making gifs themselves and requires basic gif making knowledge. these are just tips n tricks on how to make your gifs look better, i guess?
